Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Malinga is right on top of the IPL .He has taken 11 wickets so far.He took great wickets in IPL.As he was named the "pocket rocket" by players and still he took several astonishing wickets in IPL.He is a rebel in world cricket.However so far he is so good ion the ipl and looking forward for more wickets.

Sri Lanakans players are in top of IPL

The Sri lankan newest captain Kumar Sangakkara is performing well in the IPL.Not only with his bat but also with his gloves aswell.Sri Lankans future hope Kumar has became the man of the match in the last match .T.M dilshan also showed his talants playing a un beaten 50.

Dilshan compiled an unbeaten 67 to anchor the Daredevils to a target of 150 against the under-achieving Bangalore Royal Challengers who limped to 149 for seven before slumping to their fourth consecutive defeat.

The great Australian leg-spinner made 34 not out in a stand of 60 with Ravindra Jadeja (37) to give the innings a semblance of respectability without ever threatening a victory.

Election heat goes down

Another election came to end as Freedom Alliance winning the election quite easily.Approximately 69% of the voters voted in favour of the goverment.However most of the observers said that this election was a quite a peaceful one.The government won the western province election defeating the United National party which on of the main parties in Sri Lanka.

World's ever biggest rescue operation

Srilankan army rescued thousands of cicvilians from the hands of LTTE.Mean while there is only few thousand civilians are left behind.ltte is meanwhile showing their brutalism to the world by killing fleeing cicvilians.However high army officials say they are confident that they can rescue remaining civilians aswell.However president of Sri Lanka ordered the LTTE to surrender if they value their life .However terrorist leader has so far did not chnge his mind as he has chosen the path to hs grave.most sri Lankans are hoping to see end of this war.On the other hand Army Commander said recently they have almost achiieve the target and less distance to go.

A two day cease fire only by Srilankan war heroes

A cease fire was announced beacause Sinhalese new year.However tiger terrorists had break the cease fire during this period by killing innocent civilians.And they even fires at soldiers.However these srialankan soldiers didnt open fire at them.Most brutal thing is they even attacked innocent children as well.Now tiger terrorists are in the NFZ(no fire zone).They are surounded by army troops and continuing their brutalism by firing at innocent civilians.Even though Srilankan president urge them to come for the peace talks by laying their weapons ,so far they are not listening to that.

People of Sri Lanka are preparing to celebrate upcoming Sinhalese new year.It is the huge traditional festival celebrated by the Sri Lankans.At this time most people buy new clothes , make sweet meets and do customs.This one of the unique festivals limited only for Sri Lanka.Because non other country celebrate new year like this way.However most of the Sri Lankans believe this festival is coming from 10000 years ago.Ancient Sinhalese celebrated this according to the path of the sun.
